Research and Development Programs

Centre for Shridevi Research Foundation (CSRF) was established in the year 2006, under the patronage of Sri Shridevi Charitable Trust, Tumkur. The Centre is recognized by the Tumkur University, VTU(Belgaum) and Kuvempu University as an autonomous research organization.
The aim of CSRF is to establish a world class research centre, facilitating research in fields that are of direct relevance to the student, academic and scientific communities, and the society at large.
Soon the Research Centre will be creating a knowledge output to be disseminated to the concerned, develop technology to be transferred to the industry, and actively organizing events for development of scientific intellectual wealth.
The Centre also created a Society for Biotechnology & Bioengineering. The existence of CSRF reflects the Shridevi Education's passion to grow with the pace and depth of developments in Indian Biotechnology scene.
Bio Technology- the Current Focus of CSRF
Today Biotechnology has emerged as an enabling technology. It is an integrated multidisciplinary field significantly impacting the entire bio-systems.
The centre is currently engaged in three major research projects in Bio Technology, which are sponsored by funding agencies like NABARD and the Department of Science & Technology, Govt. of India.
